5 Things To Know About Mesh Printing

October 18, 2017 / in Blog / by Helen Scheuerer / No Comments

As leaders in the mesh printing industry, we’ve got a lot of knowledge to share with our clients about the various benefits and need-to-know information when it comes to using banner mesh. Whether you’re in the construction industry, development or events and festivals, you’ll need to consider a number of factors before you commission your mesh printing job.

We sat down with our production team and grand format printing experts to curate the top tier knowledge you’ll need in terms of mesh printing. So without further ado, here are 5 things you need to know about mesh printing.

1. Wind flow affects your mesh

You’d be surprised at how many people don’t consider the elements when commissioning mesh banners for their sites. Wind flow is a massive factor to keep in mind when discussing your mesh printing options with your representative.

Selecting the wrong type of mesh for the conditions of your site can mean that your signage and temporary fencing won’t last the distance. For high wind areas, you’ll need what’s called wind mesh. This mesh is specially created for areas that experience a high wind load, and is made with larger perforation than that of standard and premium mesh.

This means that the wind passes through the mesh easily, and doesn’t interfere with the temporary fencing or presentation of the signage.

2. The types of mesh material

Here at Mesh Direct, we offer a number of types of mesh material for your mesh printing needs: shade cloth, wind mesh, standard banner mesh, and premium banner mesh.

We offer these varieties so our clients have a broad spectrum of choices when it comes to their specific purposes and their budgets. We work closely with them, and talk them through the material options so that their banner mesh printing job yields the best possible results.

3. Simple install

People usually assume that with great fence signage, comes great difficulty with install. That couldn’t be further from the truth when it comes to our mesh banner products. All of our mesh fencing and mesh panels are designed with ease of install in mind. Most of our banner mesh can be installed using a simple process of cable ties and metal eyelets, which are spaced evenly over the top and bottom of the sign.

If you’d rather have a professional installer, we can arrange that for you as well.

4. Versatile mesh printing

Mesh printing offers fantastic versatility when it comes to your printing needs. Our substrates and inks are of the highest quality, meaning that our print reproduction is unparalleled.

We can print your business’s logo, artwork and colour scheme across your mesh banner, or alternatively, advertise your new development or festival. The printing options are endless!

We provide mesh fencing for a range of different uses: construction sites, festivals, building wraps, and large scale developments. Simply speak to our consultants about your needs, and we’ll customise your experience.

5. Create brand awareness

We talk a lot about creating brand awareness, and that’s because it’s such an important aspect of running a business, no matter what that business is.

Utilising printed signage like banner mesh is a great way to get your brand and business out in front of potential new clients, as well as showcasing the quality of the projects you’re currently working on.

Building Wraps: Changing the Face of Construction

September 11, 2017 / in Blog / by Helen Scheuerer / No Comments

Here at Mesh Direct, we’re always looking for ways to reinvent the wheel when it comes to construction and development sites, and one product we’re incredibly proud of is our building wraps. Building wraps were originally more common in Europe, where at world-renowned tourist attractions, buildings needed repairs and maintenance but the local governments didn’t want to lose the tourism revenue. From Switzerland and Paris to Florence and London, using a building wrap became the solution that many organisations came to rely on.

This meant that things like scaffolding, equipment and unsightly construction sites were not such an eyesore in areas so heavily populated by tourists (and their cameras!). While construction and renovation work is often necessary, it’s not necessary that the building’s aesthetic suffers in the process.

A building wrap is essentially a large-scale canvas that acts as a ‘skin’ around the structure of a building. Whatever the look of the building’s facade, one of the massive benefits of using building wraps is they leave a truly memorable and magnificent impression on anyone who lays eyes on them.

Mesh Direct’s building wraps can be customised for each job, and can feature any artwork required. Some organisations (like in the tourism industry for example) opt to replicate the building’s structure on the wrap, so that at first glance, the building looks completely in tact. Other companies choose to add more colour to their skylines by featuring nature scenes – forests, flowers and animals to pique the interest of passersby.

Another popular option is to showcase advertising. Often construction and development sites are a missed opportunity to gain exposure for your business and services. Usually the structures where building wraps are utilised are in high traffic areas, which means there are plenty of people passing by to advertise to.

We’ve provided some big name brands with building wraps and development signage over the years, and pride ourselves on the outstanding quality of our products. Our building wraps boast sharp, effective print reproduction, making them ideal for use on high-rise buildings and developments. We’ve also got an in-house design team who have a real knack for creating impressive graphics for large scale signage in case you wanted assistance with creating your featured artwork.

Whatever your vision for your building wrap, Mesh Direct can bring your idea to life. We have the experience, the expertise and the equipment to take your dream from concept to reality. We’re able to offer a large range of options to our clients from direct to facade, applied to scaffolding or hoarding, temporary framing or a more permanent system. Mesh Direct can even wrap enormous windows or apply cut out vinyls, it’s completely up to you as our client.

How To Revamp Your Construction Business HQ

July 26, 2017 / in Blog / by Helen Scheuerer / No Comments

While our main point of focus here at Mesh Direct is the presentation of your construction site itself, we’re also aware that many businesses have offices and HQs to concern themselves with as well. This is the hub of your construction business, the place where you might meet with clients and potential contractors and new employees. You want your office to represent your company well, and make a strong and impressive first impression.

Many of us in the construction industry aren’t too familiar with the world of interior design and aesthetics beyond the basics, which is why we’re put together this quick guide on how to revamp your construction business HQ…

1. Use Luxe Walls‘ wallpaper

If you’re looking for a way to breathe new life into your tired office or workspace, Luxe Walls offers a great solution – removable wallpaper. Our friends over at Luxe Walls offer repositionable and removable wallpaper at an affordable price for those on a budget.

The best thing about their product is that it’s 100% customisable, so you can create any artwork you like and showcase it in your office. Perhaps you’d like to show off a new logo, or match the colour scheme of your business’ branding. Whatever look you’re after, Luxe is bound to be able to create the right look for your HQ.

Finally, another benefit of using Luxe Walls to revamp your office is the fact that their Canvas Wallpaper is 100% is removable, so you can update it whenever you like. You can check out their most popular designs here.

2. Use plants

One thing that’s regularly missing from the construction HQs and offices we visit is greenery. It’s amazing just how much of a difference one or two little plants can make to an otherwise drab space.

In fact, at the Mesh Direct office, we have a range of hanging vine plants that are suspended from the timber beams throughout the space. It adds a certain level of brightness and life to the space!

Adding plants to your construction business HQ is a simple and affordable way of sprucing up a tired space.

3. Get rid of clutter

There’s nothing worse than an office filled with unnecessary clutter. In our experience, much of this clutter is from documents and files that need to be organised and stored away appropriately. Nowadays, much of our paperwork is digitised, however we do on occasion need printed documents. Be sure that you’ve got an adequate filing system in place and it’s half the battle to a revamped workspace.

You’ll be amazed at how different an office can look without clutter.

How Does Advertising With Printed Banners Get Results For Your Company?

May 22, 2017 / in Blog / by Helen Scheuerer / No Comments

Here at Mesh Direct we get a lot of questions about the benefits of advertising with printed banners and the potential results they can garner for various companies.

The fact of the matter is that using printed banners and a diverse range of signage solutions across your festival, event or construction site can have a fantastic result for your brand recognition and in turn, your sales and revenue.

So what exactly are these benefits?

1. Provides brand recognition

First and foremost, printed banners and signage solutions provide you and your business with brand recognition. This means that your clients and potential clients will be exposed to your logo, your brand aesthetic and will start to form a connection with your company. People will become more aware of what your company does, and who’s behind it.

Of course, in order to benefit from brand recognition, you must have recognisable, professional branding. We understand that not every business owner is a designer or art department, which is why we do our best to provide guidance and services to help your visual branding reach its potential.

With more brand recognition comes more trust in your business, and therefore – more sales.

2. Can advertise a specific product

Printed banners do more than create great brand recognition, they also provide the opportunity to advertise specific products. Printed banners, particularly our own premium and standard banner mesh have fantastic print quality and resolution, which makes them ideal for advertising your products on.

A great example of this is the iconic ice-cream brand Ben & Jerry’s. This company used banner mesh around the popular Open Air Cinema in Bondi to advertise their brand and their new product range.

Creating awareness for a new product, or a classic favourite puts the product in the forefront of consumers’ minds and therefore increases the likelihood that they’ll purchase it – driving your sales upwards.

3. Hides unsightly construction sites

The nature of the construction business means that building sites are often a bit of an eyesore. Scaffolding, equipment and general untidiness often come as part of the deal, and they can detract from their surroundings. However, if you use printed banners around your perimeter fencing and scaffolding, you can breathe new life into these tired construction sites.

Enjoy the benefit of making your brand and your building site look good, while simultaneously advertising your products and/or services.

Why You Should Have Festival and Events Signage and Banners

May 07, 2017 / in Blog / by Helen Scheuerer / No Comments

Here at Mesh Direct, we specialise in large format festival and events signage. We’ve got over a decade’s worth of experience in the industry, and have worked with numerous music festivals and sporting events on a regular basis. Which is why we understand the importance of using this type of signage and banners. Have you heard about large format printing for events but don’t know if it’s right for you?

Let’s dive into three reasons why you should have signage and banners at your next festival or event…

1. Take advantage of advertising space

With signage and banners across your event site, you can take advantage of otherwise under utilised, high value advertising space. From mesh banner fencing, stage signage and crowd control barriers, we can guarantee there’s definitely room for advertising your brand.

Our numerous mesh products and fencing options allow you to make the absolute most of these areas. Products like mesh banners allow you to put advertising in places where you wouldn’t otherwise have the opportunity. These areas are usually in high traffic, high exposure positions, which helps get as many sets of eyes on your branding as possible.

2. Create a uniform look across your site

Another advantage to using festival and events signage and banners around your site is that they create a uniform aesthetic which looks both impressive and professional. Tying the look of an event together with uniform branding across all signage solutions is a great way to get your business’ name out there.

However, in addition, a uniform aesthetic also makes your brand, your event and/or your festival more reputable. It potentially provides you with the opportunity to reach new audiences, and potentially new clients.

3. Brand awareness

On a similar note, another reason you should have festival and events signage and banners is to create brand awareness for your company and/or product.

Utilising otherwise under-utilised, high traffic areas for your branded signage and banners can help create awareness of your festival or event with an entirely  new audience.

Festival and Events Signage Recommendations

So, as Mesh-experts, what products do we recommend that you use in order to create the best possible results with your festival and events signage?

We recommend using a winning combination of our most popular products across your entire event. These products include: premium mesh banners, crowd control barriers, mesh fence panels and media walls.

The draw card for festivals and events are that they’re entire experiences, and our products can help that experience be more uniform and wholesome for all involved.

If you’d like more information on how Mesh Direct can help you master your festival and events signage, be sure to drop us a line here, or give us a call on 1300 368 978.
