Asbestos is a naturally occuring mineral used in building construction until the late 1980s that can cause serious health problems, including terminal cancer, upon exposure. Because asbestos is comprised of small fibres that are easily inhalable, it it critical to ensure your workers, site visitors and passersby are duly protected if they’re anywhere near asbestos, particularly if it is broken during construction or removal and fibres may be in the air.
