The Project

Mesh Direct was approached by Lendlease on an innovative project which required moveable, bright signage for a construction site. The goal was to enhance communication for workers internally, particularly for directional purposes and marking Exclusion Zones. The project’s success was rooted in Mesh Direct’s ability to deliver high-quality, functional signage tailored to the client’s needs.

The Challenge

The primary challenge for this project was creating signage that was not only bright and noticeable but also easily moveable to adapt to the dynamic nature of the construction site. The signage needed to clearly communicate critical information to workers, including directions and Exclusion Zone boundaries, ensuring smooth and safe operations within the work site.

The Product – Polyester Stretch CCBs

To address their specific needs, Mesh Direct recommended the use of Polyester Stretch Crowd Control Barriers (also known as CCBs). The CCBs were double-sided and a total of 200 panels were used, chosen for their durability, visibility, and flexibility.

The Solution

Mesh Direct’s solution was centred around the benefits of Polyester Stretch CCBs. Firstly, the double-sided feature provided extra visibility, ensuring the signs were visible from multiple angles. The material’s stretch properties also made the signs durable and adaptable, perfect for the ever-changing environment of a construction site. Lastly, the moveability of the signs allowed for quick adjustments as the site layout evolved, maintaining clear communication and safety standards at all times.

The Result

The implementation of the Polyester Stretch CCB’s signage was a complete success. The signs effectively communicated vital information, improving the safety and efficiency of the worksite.

Sabrina Suraci, a Site Engineer at Lendlease, expressed her satisfaction with the results: “The CCBs work really well, very happy with them. Will most likely be in touch to order more for some of our other sites.”

This positive feedback demonstrates the success of the project and highlights Mesh Direct’s capability to deliver customised, effective signage solutions. We look forward to collaborating with Lendlease again soon in the future.
