Events are back! How to ensure successful event signage.

It has certainly been a rollercoaster of a year in the event space. However, the fact remains that events are back in some shape or form and soon enough will be back in full swing. The secret to ensuring your event is safe, secure & successful is consistent signage displayed around your venue So let’s take a look at some of the most effective and essential ways to host a memorable & successful event.

Use the Environment/Venue:

The venue itself can present plenty of inspiration and provide practical methods for getting your messages across. Large containers, furniture, stairs, windows and even the floor are all great examples of placements that can be utilised for signage. It’s also a wise idea to take a tour around the venue early on in the organisation process to ensure you utilise each and every spot around the location to minimise cost and maximise exposure.

Visibility:

This sounds like a rather obvious point, but it is more important than ever with the current emphasis on social distancing signage and the like. Hosting an event you need to consider factors that affect visibility including the position and distance of your signs. Having signage placed at eye-level is a beneficial position for smaller events. At larger events, elevated signage is preferable to ensure it can be viewed in a crowd. It’s also important to remember that if your event goes into the night you’ll need to have your signage adequately illuminated or reflective.

Get Creative:

Great event signage should add to the atmosphere you are trying to create. This will help to promote your event on social media and really allow for those attending to feel like events are somewhat similar to those they went to prior to the lockdowns, no one wants to just feel like an event is a venue filled with nothing but rules and regulations displayed all over, so you need to make sure there is a nice mixture of both when possible.

 

Be Consistent:

With all this signage now displayed around your event, you need to make sure there is consistency. Having some form of consistency will ensure that the Covid safe rules are not at all confusing, the recurring signage will make sure the rules are clear and concise. As far as other signage goes, create a uniform look that will bring your event theme together, present it well and you’ll undoubtedly have an event that’ll be remembered and easily identifiable in pictures for years to come.
