Here’s how Stephen managed a recent grand-format banner mesh project in Wetherill Park for Hale Capital Partners.

Q1. How did the initial enquiry come in?

Stephen:
It came in as a website quote request, followed up by a phone call. The client needed 405 linear metres of mesh for a large site in Wetherill Park. Straight away, I knew it would be a significant job that required careful planning.

Q2. What kind of questions did you ask at that stage?

Stephen:
I always start by asking about the site details:

  • Where exactly is it being installed?
  • What kind of fence are we attaching to?
  • What’s the fence height?
  • Is the area exposed to strong winds?
  • Will wind slits be required?
  • How long will the mesh stay up?
  • Are we working with simple branding or more detailed artwork?

These questions help me recommend the right product and finish so the mesh not only looks great but performs well on site.

Q3. What challenges came up with this project?

Stephen:
Coordinating our installer was a bit tricky. We had to line up their availability with the client’s schedule. On top of that, the ground surface and fence line were uneven and quite long, which meant the installation needed extra consideration.

Q4. How did you approach those challenges?

Stephen:
I asked the client for the exact site address so I could go and inspect it myself. Seeing the terrain firsthand helped me determine whether long rolls or smaller sections of mesh would work best, and whether gate panelling would be required.

I also looked closely at the fence. For development sites like this, it’s usually best to go a bit shorter with the mesh. That way, it doesn’t sit on the ground where it could be damaged by mowers or trimmers.

Q5. What special considerations did you have to make?

Stephen:
The entry gates were a key factor. They can complicate an install if not planned for properly.

Q6. And what solution did you recommend for the gates?

Stephen:
The best approach is to supply individual panels for each gate entry. That way, the gates remain fully functional without compromising the branding coverage.

Q7. What was the final outcome?

Stephen:
In the final fence install there were no gates to work around for the mesh, so the order ended up being straightforward. We supplied:

  • 3 x 50m rolls of Premium Mesh (1.6m high)
  • 1 x 10m roll of the same mesh for a small side street

It was the right balance of coverage, durability, and presentation.

Q8. How did things wrap up with the customer?

Stephen:
I did my usual post-sales follow up, just to make sure everything landed smoothly. Our customer was very happy with the result and they even left a review on google, which always feels fantastic.
