Welcome to Mesh Direct, Wendy! Can you tell us a little about your background and what drew you to this role?

Wendy Hu: Thank you! I’m excited to be here. I come from a strong background in digital marketing, complemented by hands-on experience in web development and web analytics. This blend allows me to not only craft engaging campaigns but also to understand the technical elements that make digital strategies successful.

How does your experience in web development contribute to your approach as a Digital Marketing Coordinator?

Wendy Hu: My web development experience gives me a deep understanding of the technical backbone behind our campaigns. I know how to ensure that our websites are not just visually appealing but also optimized for performance and user experience. This technical insight is crucial for running effective digital campaigns.

And what about your skills in web analytics? How do they enhance your role?

Wendy Hu: Web analytics is all about turning data into actionable insights. By analyzing trends and performance metrics, I can continuously refine our digital strategies, optimize our online advertising, and boost social media engagement. It’s about ensuring every campaign resonates with our audience in a measurable way.

What are you most excited about as you start your journey with Mesh Direct?

Wendy Hu: I’m really looking forward to leveraging both my creative and analytical skills to drive Mesh Direct’s online presence forward. Whether it’s enhancing the website experience or launching innovative digital campaigns, I’m excited to contribute to our collective success and see the impact of our work in real time.

What’s your favourite thing to do when you’re not in the office, Wendy?

Wendy Hu: When I’m not in the office, I love immersing myself in the arts and culinary adventures. Whether I’m singing at local jazz bars, performing in community theatre, or cooking classic Italian and French dishes like beef bourguignon, these creative outlets bring me so much joy and fulfillment.

Fun! What are your top 3 Restaurants/Bars in Sydney?

Wendy Hu: My top three restaurants in Sydney are Nour, which offers incredible modern Lebanese cuisine, and two fantastic Asian fusion spots—Chin Chin and Mumu. 

And lastly, we hear you have a Pomeranian called Cuddles! Have you got a funny story about Cuddles you can share?

Wendy Hu: Yes, I do have a Pomeranian named Cuddles! He’s quite the character. One of the funniest things he does is after he poops, he’ll hunch over and then start dragging his butt along the grass to clean himself. It’s both hilarious and a little embarrassing, but it never fails to make me laugh!
